Avocados!
This little fruit is green on the inside and very black on the outside is loaded up with vitamins and minerals that are more than helpful to the body. There are many ways to eat avocados but the most common way to eat them is pureed. According to Hass avocados one cup of pureed avocados gives all of the following nutrients:
- 4.5 g of Protein
- 19.62 g of Carbohydrate
- 1166 mg of Potassium
- 23.0 mg of Vitamin C
- 175 mg Beta-sitosterol
- 0 mg Cholesterol
Avocados are the only fruit that offers monounsaturated fats, which is considered a "good" fat and helps to keep cholesterol at a healthy rate. Not only can adults benefit form avocados, but when a child is first introduced to solid foods, avocados are a great thing to get your child to consume. The taste is not to strong for a yound childs mouth and the texture makes it easy for them to swallow. S when trying to find a new food to add to your healthy diet, definitely consider ading a fresh ripe avcado. :)
